We will be recommending products to use for homecare to extend the life and beauty of your lashes.  An absolute essential is the Xtreme Lash Protective Coating ($45).  We will explain its purpose and how to apply at your appointment, so please allow room in your lash budget for this product.  It should last you approximatedly 8 months once opened, and it will cut down on the amount of time spent at your fills, saving you BIG bucks!

During your consultation, we will also be discussing the different aftercare products that Xtreme Lashes offers. There is one essential product that we really insist all lash clients who plan to maintain the lashes take home and that is the Xtreme Protective Coating. Xtreme Protective Coating $45

Since the adhesive dries with tiny holes, the purpose of the Protective Coating is to SEAL the holes in the adhesive and protect the bond against water, oil and dirt that may get between the holes and disturb the bond.  It will extend the life of the lashes by 1-2 weeks if used properly.  The Protective Coating is a liquid.

How to use:

Wait at least 24 hours after application of the Xtreme Lashes before applying the Protective Coating.  This will allow the bonding agent enough time to fully cure - before the coating is applied.  Premature application of the coating can cause the bond to weaken.  This can result in the Xtreme Lashes falling off.

It should not be applied more than twice per week (every 4 days).  MARK YOUR CALENDAR!

It should be used sparingly.  Applying layer after layer will weigh the lashes down.

Apply to the lashes only.  Do not leak into eye, as it will irritate the eye.  All excess liquid should be wiped off of the applicator before applying to the lashes.  This will help prevent applying too much.

It only takes a SMALL amount of the coating to be effective.

Preparing for your Lash Application:

• Remove all make-up, including foundation, eyeliner, eye shadow, mascara, eye creams, and eye serums.
• Clean lashes gently but thoroughly before you arrive to remove any residual oils or mascara.
• Shower before your arrival.
• Do not wear contacts to your lash application appointment.  Wear glasses to your appointment instead.
• Do not curl your lashes on the day of your lash application.
• Do not apply heavy creams, lotions, or oils to your face withing 48 hours prior to your lash application.
• Wait 48 hours after lash removal prior to having your new set of Xtreme Lashes applied.
• Do not receive chemical treatments to your lashes such as tinting or perming within 48 hours prior to your lash application appointment.
• Consult with your Xtreme Lashes Stylist if you have recently had any irritating eye area treatments such as skin resurfacing procedures, chemical peels, eyebrow waxing, laser treatments, or permanent makeup application.  Recovery time varies with each procedure and individual.
• Consult with your physician prior to your lash application appointment if you are pregnant, taking medication, suffer from any medical condtitions or allergies, or recovering from any medical procedures.

• You do NOT have allergies/sensitivities to acrylates or cyanoacrylate adhesives.
• You are comfortable lying down for a few hours with your eyes closed.
